Jumping for Jeggings

I finally broke down and got a pair of jeggings, and even though pre-pregnancy I wasn't sold on the idea I absolutely am now. I ended up finding a great organic eco-friendly pair by Eco Yoga when I stopped into TjMaxx the other day for under $20. They feel incredible on and can be worn all day and I don't have to rush home to change, like when I was forcing my self in to my skinny jeans. I paired them with a plaid button down and a warm knit scarf.

Berry Bow

I finally found most of my clothes that were 'lost' in storage from the move, mainly my tights. Whew that was stressful, turns out they were pretty much right in front of my face the whole time and I'm not the brightest crayon in the box when I'm pregnant, with that being said I now can get back to wearing tights and flaking about the little things.

To The Max

Long with long on these fabulously cold days, adding sweater legging to give a little more warmth to the otherwise 'light' maxi dress.

Give Me Some Shimmer

Since It's not feeling a thing like Christmas here in Florida, I opted to add a little shimmer to my ensemble to give me a little cheer. I paired the embellished tunic with jeans and a utility jacket for a more casual look to run errands and grab coffee.

Bow-tiful

Being that today is our last day in our apartment I thought it'd be only appropriate to snap a few shots in the parking lot before we packed everything up and left. I opted for a plaid halter under a boyfriend blazer since the weather has been a little warmer. I paired the two with leggings, platform pumps and a metallic carry all.

We're Not In Kansas Anymore

...That's seriously what my husband said to me when he saw these shoes for the first time. Too bad Dorothy's were red, but he gets credit for the sparkle. I wore these out today and got all kinds of gasps from (nosey) onlookers, because well, I'm pregnant and oh my ghad I'm wearing heels, the horror. And it brought up a very interesting topic with my midwife last week when I wore heels into my appointment, but it turns out it's just like exercising while pregnant you do what you did and was comfortable for you before pregnancy, if you ran you still run, and if you wore heels everyday like me you still wear heels if it's comfortable. For some people it's more comfortable, and I'm not just talking about me. So don't have a heart attack if you see a pregnant woman walking down the street in heels, she more than likely knows what she's doing.

Simply Delicious Fudge Squares

Fudge is one of the more popular holiday 'homemade' gifts to give, next to cookies of course. However by the looks of it, fudge seemed all too complicated to even try to make. Turns out I was way wrong, especially after finding this amazing simple recipe that takes close to no time to make (before the letting it "set"). Enjoy.

Ingredients
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions -
Line a 9x5 loaf pan with wax paper and set aside for later use ( I doubled the recipe and used a 9x13).
Next combine the sugar, butter, marshmallows and cream in saucepan, setting over medium heat. Stir until marshmallows and butter is almost melted, about 5 mins.
Next, bring mixture to boil stirring occasionally (about 5 mins). Remove pan from heat then add chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir until melted and combined, if you'd like add 1/2 cup of add-ins such as peppermints, walnuts or candies.
Pour the hot fudge into loaf pan.
Top with remaining "Add-Ins" and let set for 3 hours at room temperature.
Grip wax paper and lift out of pan, placing on a cutting board to slice.
Enjoy!

Giddy Gray

With all this hustling and bustling to get things packed to move next week, I've almost forgotten that it's almost Christmas and that I have some loose ends to tie up (i.e. gifts). Luckily I had a little free time to do such things today, and get the necessary ingredients to make fudge to send out to the family (which I'll be sharing with you, of course). Since the weather has been windy of sorts I paired my oversized gray sweater  with a sweater dress, tights and uber comfy boots. Adding a pop of color to complete the look...

I'll Play The Jacquard

So it turns out that this strike against 'maternity pants' is leaving my options limited to dresses, tights (& leggings), and jeans. And though I'm not entirely sad about that, I'm sure breaking down and getting something to mix it up a little more is going to happen in the near future. But for now mixing it up in other ways will have to work, such as including this amazing jacquard jacket into my ensemble. I especially love it paired with this simple body skimming dress and boots, though I'm not sold on the belt.
